Stars We Love To Hate-Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney

Some celebrities seem to have a love-hate relationship with their fans. They teeter on both ends of the spectrum, balancing as much adoration as mounting disgust.  Maybe we secretly resent the fact that they are highly privileged, "blessed" far more than the masses and continue to get richer and more famous every day.

The Kardashian Girls, with a combined net worth of $75 million dollars, and their mother Kris Jenner are among the top female contenders for stars we love to hate:

Kristen Mary "Kris" Jenner  (57) is an American socialite, author and television personality. In her television ventures, Jenner has appeared on Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, Khloé & Lamar, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, Good Morning America, The Talk and America's Next Top Model.
Divorced from lawyer Robert Kardashian, she has been married to Bruce Jenner since 1991. She has four children with Robert (Kourtney, Kim, Khloe, and Robert Jr.) and two with Bruce (Kendall and Kylie). As of 2011, Jenner's net worth is estimated at $20 million.

In 2004, Kim became a personal stylist to recording artist Brandy Norwood; she eventually developed into a full-time stylist, and was a personal shopper and stylist to actress Lindsay Lohan. Throughout Kim's early career, she involved herself in some high-profile relationships including Norwood's brother rapper Ray J and later, singer Nick Lachey.

In February 2007, a home sex video that Kim made with Ray J years earlier was leaked. Vivid Entertainment bought the rights for $1 million and released the film as Kim Kardashian: Superstar on February 21. Kim sued Vivid for ownership of the tape, but dropped the suit in April 2007 and settled with Vivid Entertainment for $5 million.

In 2011, Kim married NBA player Kris Humphries in a highly publicized wedding ceremony, but filed for divorce 72 days later. This caused widespread backlash from the public and media. Several news outlets surmised that Kardashian's marriage to Humphries was merely a publicity stunt, to promote the Kardashian family's brand and their subsequent television ventures. A widely circulated petition asking to remove all Kardashian-related programming from the air has followed since their split.

Reggie Bush, an NFL player, is one of Kim's ex-boyfriends. He plays running back for the Miami Dolphins. Kim's newest "relationship" is with Kanye West, Grammy Award winning singer/rapper, Kim's latest boyfriend, and the father of her unborn child. I see many more millions in her future.

As of September 2012, seven seasons of the series Keeping Up with the Kardashians have aired. On April 24, 2012, E! signed a new three-year deal with the Kardashian family that will keep the series on the air until 2015.

The deal was estimated at $40 million.

Khloé, Kim and Kourtney initially ventured into fashion, opening a high fashion boutique D-A-S-H in Calabasas, California.

In April 2009, it was announced that Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami, would premiere in August, following the two as they open a second D-A-S-H store in Miami. The series premiered to 2.7 million viewers and averaged 1.89 million viewers. The second season began in June 2010 and averaged 2.717 million viewers, a 43% increase from the first season.

Kourtney and Kim Take New York premiered in January 2011, following the two as they oversee the opening of a third D-A-S-H store in SoHo. The show premiered on January 23, 2011. Khloé & Lamar premiered on April 10, 2011. The second season began on February 19, 2012, but it is no longer airing. On September 16, 2012, E! aired a teaser at the end of the season 7 finale that confirmed Kourtney and Kim Take Miami would air in January 2013.

More dollar signs on the horizon for the Kardasian kids? The Kardashian kids are suing their dad's widow, claiming she's been illegally selling portions of a diary they inherited.

Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Rob Jr. are suing Ellen Pearson -- who was married to Robert Kardashian -- claiming Robert had a diary that contained very personal details about the klan and has been selling tidbits to tabloids.

The deceased Kardashian -- famous for repping OJ Simpson -- allegedly left the diary to his kids in his will. Among the info that Ellen allegedly sold -- Kris allegedly hit Kourtney and Kim and also threatened to kill Kim ... and Rob was locked in a car while Kris was out on a date.

The lawsuit alleges the diary is owned lock, stock and barrel by the Kardashian kids and Ellen is infringing on their copyright. The lawsuit demands the return of the diary and family albums, as well as damages.
