Michael Jordan Gets Married

Michael Jordan got married over the weekend in front of a few hundred of his family and closest friends. The Charlotte Bobcats owner exchanged vows with 35-year-old former model Yvette Prieto on Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla. The six-time NBA champion and Prieto met five years ago and were engaged last December.

Michael Jordan danced with his bride during their wedding reception at the Bear's Club in Jupiter, Fla., a luxurious private golf club designed by Jack Nicklaus. Jordan, 50, owns a home near the course. The wedding took place at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea with more than 300 guests in attendance, including Tiger Woods, Patrick Ewing and Ahmad Rashad, Jordan’s manager Estee Portnoy.

In lieu of wedding gifts, donations were made to the James R. Jordan Foundation. The wedding flowers were donated to the Jupiter Medical Center.

The entertainment included DJ MC Lyte, singers K’Jon, Robin Thicke and Grammy-Award winner Usher and The Source, an 18-piece band.

The guests were served an all-white, seven-layer white rum wedding cake that was covered in white fondant and sugar crystals, and adorned with crystal brooches and the couples’ monogram on the top layer.

Stars We Love To Hate-Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney

Some celebrities seem to have a love-hate relationship with their fans. They teeter on both ends of the spectrum, balancing as much adoration as mounting disgust.  Maybe we secretly resent the fact that they are highly privileged, "blessed" far more than the masses and continue to get richer and more famous every day.

The Kardashian Girls, with a combined net worth of $75 million dollars, and their mother Kris Jenner are among the top female contenders for stars we love to hate:

Megachurch Pastor Rick Warren's Son Commits Suicide

In an emotional letter, Pastor Rick Warren of Lake Forest, Calif.-based Saddleback Church told his 20,000-strong congregation that his youngest son, Matthew, committed suicide on Friday.  Warren said that his son "suffered from mental illness resulting in deep depression and suicidal thoughts".

“In spite of America’s best doctors, meds, counselors, and prayers for healing, the torture of mental illness never subsided. Today, after a fun evening together with Kay and me, in a momentary wave of despair at his home, he took his life.”

Pastor Rick Warren said today he and his wife, Kay, are "overwhelmed" by the support they have received.

"Kay and I are overwhelmed by your love, prayers, and kind words. You are all encouraging our #brokenhearts," Warren tweeted today to his almost 1 million followers.

Warren is the popular author of The Purpose Driven Life. According to the Saddleback website, "The Purpose Driven Life" is the best-selling non-fiction hardback book in history. The book begins with a simple premise: It's not about you. It was a hit -- and has been translated into dozens of languages and has sold tens of millions of copies.

Trayvon Martin's Parents Settle with HOA

USA Today reports that the parents of a teenager who was fatally shot by a neighborhood watch volunteer last year have settled a wrongful-death claim against the homeowners association of the Florida subdivision where their son was killed.

The Orlando Sentinel reported Friday that an attorney for Trayvon Martin's parents — Sybrina Fulton and Tracy Martin — filed that paperwork in Seminole County and that portions of it were made available for public review Friday.
