Michael Jordan Gets Married

Michael Jordan got married over the weekend in front of a few hundred of his family and closest friends. The Charlotte Bobcats owner exchanged vows with 35-year-old former model Yvette Prieto on Saturday in Palm Beach, Fla. The six-time NBA champion and Prieto met five years ago and were engaged last December.

Michael Jordan danced with his bride during their wedding reception at the Bear's Club in Jupiter, Fla., a luxurious private golf club designed by Jack Nicklaus. Jordan, 50, owns a home near the course. The wedding took place at the Episcopal Church of Bethesda-by-the-Sea with more than 300 guests in attendance, including Tiger Woods, Patrick Ewing and Ahmad Rashad, Jordan’s manager Estee Portnoy.

In lieu of wedding gifts, donations were made to the James R. Jordan Foundation. The wedding flowers were donated to the Jupiter Medical Center.

The entertainment included DJ MC Lyte, singers K’Jon, Robin Thicke and Grammy-Award winner Usher and The Source, an 18-piece band.

The guests were served an all-white, seven-layer white rum wedding cake that was covered in white fondant and sugar crystals, and adorned with crystal brooches and the couples’ monogram on the top layer.

Stars We Love To Hate-Kris, Kim, Khloe and Kourtney

Some celebrities seem to have a love-hate relationship with their fans. They teeter on both ends of the spectrum, balancing as much adoration as mounting disgust.  Maybe we secretly resent the fact that they are highly privileged, "blessed" far more than the masses and continue to get richer and more famous every day.

The Kardashian Girls, with a combined net worth of $75 million dollars, and their mother Kris Jenner are among the top female contenders for stars we love to hate:

Megachurch Pastor Rick Warren's Son Commits Suicide

In an emotional letter, Pastor Rick Warren of Lake Forest, Calif.-based Saddleback Church told his 20,000-strong congregation that his youngest son, Matthew, committed suicide on Friday.  Warren said that his son "suffered from mental illness resulting in deep depression and suicidal thoughts".

“In spite of America’s best doctors, meds, counselors, and prayers for healing, the torture of mental illness never subsided. Today, after a fun evening together with Kay and me, in a momentary wave of despair at his home, he took his life.”

Pastor Rick Warren said today he and his wife, Kay, are "overwhelmed" by the support they have received.

"Kay and I are overwhelmed by your love, prayers, and kind words. You are all encouraging our #brokenhearts," Warren tweeted today to his almost 1 million followers.

Warren is the popular author of The Purpose Driven Life. According to the Saddleback website, "The Purpose Driven Life" is the best-selling non-fiction hardback book in history. The book begins with a simple premise: It's not about you. It was a hit -- and has been translated into dozens of languages and has sold tens of millions of copies.

Georgetown Ex-Coach Saves D. C. Boys & Girls Club

Former Georgetown basketball coach John Thompson stepped in to save a D.C. Boys & Girls Club scheduled to close Friday.

The Bill Butler-Julius Wyatt Clubhouse, which opened in 1972, has a $250,000 deficit and needed $42,500 this week to stay open for another three months, said Paul Alagero, the Boys & Girls Club’s local chief development officer.

Thompson’s grandson saw News4′s report Wednesday night and the legendary coach put up the money to keep the clubhouse open for the next three months.

“I have a foundation that I put together for that purpose,” Thompson said. “Most of the time we try to remain anonymous in the things that we try to get done, but I think it’s significant with this to try to get other people to try to help.”

Real estate developer and Boys & Girls Club board member Eddie Kaplan heard about Thompson’s donation and will match it, the Boys & Girls Club said.

“I think it’s important that the club stays open," says Thompson.

Thompson's son John Thompson III is the current Georgetown coach.

I'm proud of my family's contributions to the Boys & Girls Clubs. There may be something that you can do to make a contribution to children in need. Consider volunteering and see what you can do to help. You'll find a great reward in making a positive contribution. Be a part of the solution!

"Docket From Hell": Judge Beds Plaintiff in Courthouse

A Wayne County judge has admitted he had sex with a woman in his chambers while her case was pending in his court.

Judge McCree says that he was just trying to flatter his mistress when he referred to his courtroom as “tatted up, overweight, half-ass English speaking, gap tooth skank hoes.”

In a response to a formal complaint, Wayne County Circuit Judge Wade McCree admitted that to the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission that he may have sent a text message to his mistress, saying, “C’mon, U’r talking about the ‘docket from hell,’ filled w/tatted up, overweight, half-ass English speaking, gap tooth skank hoes … and then you walk in.”

In a 38-page response to the Michigan Judicial Tenure Commission’s complaint that was filed against him, Wade McCree writes he started to be sexually involved with Geniene La’Shay Mott in June 2012. His response also states he would occasionally bring Mott into the courthouse through the building’s back entrance, which was reserved for judges and courthouse staff. But, McCree said, Mott never had “uninhabited access to the courthouse and that the courthouse was never in any danger because Mott was there.

Mott has said she regularly had sex with McCree in his office and eventually became pregnant. She met the judge while he was handling a child support case involving her child and another man.
Robert King of Macomb County’s Clinton Township has sued McCree and Mott over the situation on grounds his civil rights were violated.

King says the judge last summer ordered him to wear an electronic tether until he paid child support.
McCree said his relationship with Mott didn’t influence his judicial conduct or judgment regarding the King case, but that he “likely violated” a conduct code by not removing himself from the case.
McCree also said he is the victim of “stalking and extortion” by Mott.

In October, the state Supreme Court reprimanded McCree for sending a shirtless photo of himself to a court employee.
